The 11th Annual Grillin' & Brewin' is JJ's Legacy's signature fall fundraiser benefiting the Got the Dot™ High School Educational Leadership Program, an innovative academic-year leadership initiative that empowers local students to become confident advocates for organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Throughout the program, students develop leadership, communication, public speaking, storytelling, and community outreach skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the lifesaving impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation. They learn how to educate their peers, families, and communities, dispel common misconceptions, and encourage meaningful conversations about donor registration.
One of the most important moments in a young person's life comes when they receive their driver's license and are asked whether they would like to register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor. Through Got the Dot, students are equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions themselves—and to inspire others to do the same.
Your support directly invests in the next generation of compassionate leaders. Together, we are expanding donor education throughout Kern County, strengthening youth leadership, and increasing awareness that can lead to more registered donors and more lives saved.
One organ donor can save up to eight lives and heal more than 75 others through tissue and cornea donation. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and auction item donated helps create a lasting legacy of hope for families throughout our community.
