Online Bidding with Greater Giving

What You Can Expect

This year’s auction will use Greater Giving Online Bidding – allowing for a paperless bidding system. You will bid using your smartphone or tablet on silent auction items. Also, you can easily track Packages by “following” their activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet.

Online Bidding laptop and mobile side by side with menu.

How to Bid with Online Bidding

Once you have been invited to join Online Bidding, you have a number of options available to you.

  1. Select the Package you wish to Bid on.
  2. Select either the Bid option to bid the next increment, or select Bid More to choose your increment.
  3. Or, if available, select Buy Now to purchase the Package for the price listed.
  4. Click the star icon to save the Package to your Favorites.
  5. To make a donation, click the Donate button on the home page and enter your amount.
  6. Use the menu in the top left to view Packages you have bid on, favorited, or to browse by Category.
  7. When the auction closes, the high bidder can find Packages they have won in the Bids area of the menu.

Thanks to the generous support of our financial donors, we celebrated 2022 with some pretty incredible program milestones!  We're proud to feature the progress we're making on growing our programs.

  1. In 2022, we granted $47,000 in medical assistance to the organ recipient community.  That’s seven times what we were able to provide in 2021 (during COVID restrictions), and three times what we were able to grant in 2020.
  2. Last year, we doubled the number of Fresh Food Boxes provided to Kern County residents awaiting an organ transplant.  157 boxes packed with fresh fruit, vegetables, and local-sourced meat were distributed to families dealing with food insecurity due to health reasons.  That’s up from 84 boxes in 2021.
  3. We provided more than double the number of Gas Cards to assist with medical transportation in 2022.  Forty-nine $50 Cards were distributed last year.  Up from twenty in 2021.

Stay with us as our staff and volunteers work to make 2023 our best year yet!

We invite you to join us for an evening under the stars and an evening of inspiration on Saturday, April 22, 2023 @ 6:00pm! JJ's Legacy theme is Hollywood Glam at the Historic Stockdale Country Club. (7001 Stockdale Hwy.)

There are a few changes for the evening.  The live auction is replaced with Fund-A-Need, and we ask that you plan to participate and lend your support.  100 percent of the proceeds from the evening will directly benefit JJ's Legacy projects!

The mission of JJ’s Legacy is to honor Jeffrey Johns by educating Kern County residents on the value and importance of organ, eye and tissue donation, increasing the number of registered donors and providing compassionate support to donor and recipient families

I would be honored for you to join me in making this a successful year for JJ's Legacy.  The funds will assist Kern County residents waiting for transplants or those who have received transplants.

Thank you for your continued support, Lori.
